Young Author's Day at Pokeweed Public School (Pokeweed Public School Series)

Every year, teacher-librarian Ms. Mudwortz shares her insights into the writing process with her eager students -- teaching them how to turn their ideas into real stories. But the main event of the week -- a visit by renowned author Reginald Thornbottom -- may have to be canceled when he mysteriously disappears.Luckily Ms. Mudwortz realizes that her guest of honor has been mistaken as an unauthorized visitor by the officious Principal Slugmeyer and locked up. Her quick intervention saves the day -- the beloved Thornbottom is freed from custody in time to deliver his presentation and the children get a chance to meet their favorite author.
