My Not-Quite Blank Book

Hanover Press announces the release of its latest publication, my not-quite blank book. Conceived by Faith Vicinanza, management consultant, poet, and educator, and Joan Gleckler, scriptwriter and novelist, MNQBB is a unique writing journal filled with sometimes whimsical, sometimes challenging writing exercises to get the literary juices flowing for fledgling writers or long-time pros. Something more than a diary and more than a writing journal. It’s a kind of bottle opener useful for uncorking ideas, longings, memories, and emotions. Some pages supply a first line and ask the writer to complete a story or poem. There are pages with watermark images of horses running freely and ballet slippers waiting to be laced up. With all of the book’s different messages, images, and exercises, each page offers the writer an opportunity to record inner musings or vent pent up diatribes. One need not be frugal with one’s thoughts either, for there is plenty of space on each page for the writer to express what he or she has to say because most of each page, but not quite all, is blank.
