We identify three communication paradigms: Symbolic, Relational and Rational. The book focuses on three theories contributing to the Symbolic Paradigm constellation of theories: Bormann's Symbolic Convergence Theory, Burke's Dramatist Theory and Fisher's Narrative Theory.
