Hurricane House Still grieving the death of her fiancé, Maeva Larson vacations on Paradise Isle, Florida, "the luckiest fishing village in the world," where she finds the dead body of Miss Florida, Tara Baxter, floating in the Gulf. The mystery, intrigue and romance is as good as any "Criminal Minds" or "Law & Order" episode, but the addition of Onyx, the psychic dog was a brilliant bonus for me. Semerad stayed within the sphere of physical science to solve the crimes, as all good murder mysteries do, but she added a suspicious romantic element to spice the story up to perfection. Great read.
