The nation's run out of gas overnight, causing society to grind to a halt.Trevor Smith thinks he's prepared. Although most of his focus is on getting his college degree, he's spent time and money buying what he needs should a disaster strike. Now that it actually has, it's time to see whether his preparations were enough.His cousin Lewis Halsson has done much better, even building a shelter in the small town in Central Utah they grew up in, where he lives off the grid. While he mourns the suffering this fuel crisis will bring, he's content that he is set up to comfortably survive it. Although not satisfied with even that, he continues to try to figure out what else he needs to be ready for.Their friend Matthew Larson has no idea what's coming.
