The revised third edition includes all amendments to the jurisdiction, venue, and removal statutes in the Federal Courts Jurisdiction and Venue Clarification Act of 2011, effective January 6, 2012. This third edition deletes Fed. R. Civ. P. 84 (Forms), as well as the Appendix of Forms, which were abrogated in December 2015. The revised text eliminates the forms in the previous edition. This third edition includes recent Supreme Court decisions, including Walden v. Fiore (2014)(intentional torts and personal jurisdiction); Daimler AG v. Bauman (2014)(personal jurisdiction); Atlantic Marine Construction Co. v. U.S. Dist. Ct. (2013)(forum selection clauses and transfer of venue); J. McIntyre v. Nicastro (2011)(personal jurisdiction); Goodyear Dunlop Tires Operations v. Brown (2011)(personal jurisdiction); Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. v. Dukes (2011)(Rule 23 class actions); Krupski v. Costa Crociere (2010)(Rule 15 amendments to pleadings); and Shady Grove Orthopedic Associates v. Allstate Ins. Co. (2010)(Erie doctrine).
