POSTMARKS ON OUR FOREHEADS: Hospice Care Patients, Memory Care Patients, and the People Who Love Them

POSTMARKS ON OUR FOREHEADS is the end result of the 2015 Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign "Help Hospice Patients Write Their Life Stories!" The campaign was organized by Cider Spoon Stories, "Austin's premier ghostwriting service for every story." Ghostwriter and editor Jess Hagemann got the idea for the project after a year spent volunteering with an Austin-based hospice care program. The book chronicles the lives of seven hospice and/or memory care patients, providers, and their family members. Frances* was one of the first women to graduate from the Law School at the University of Texas. Don* is a professor and the surviving husband of Julie, who died from cancer. Ida* turned seventeen years old the day that Pearl Harbor was bombed. Tommie*, a hilariously inexperienced farmer, in the mid-1980s won Texas's Artist of the Year award. Jackie's* grandmother Lydia had twelve kids and died on Mother's Day 2016. Melissa* and Larry* represent the voices of hospice and memory care professionals. Proceeds from the sale of POSTMARKS ON OUR FOREHEADS go toward producing the next book in the series.
