From Cottonfields to Coalfields

The reader is invited to walk with Walter Frank Haile, Sr. from the cotton fields of Heath Springs in South Carolina to the coal fields of western Pennsylvania. History often portrays the hero, the acclaimed, and even the infamous. But who is to tell the story of one man's family and their lives through World War I, little noted by our protagonist because of his young age, through the great depression of the 30ís, World War II, and into the twenty-first century. Walter wanted to have this book especially for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but he hopes to share the lessons he learned in the long life he has been granted, with you the reader. The photos in this book are only some of the many Walter has. They provide a look at the past and a view of the future.
