The author was born and raised in Boston, MA. He joined the US Army and was stationed at Fort Polk, LA from 1989-1992. Following that, he went to Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He was accepted into the JET (Japan and Exchange Teaching) Program in August 1998. From then to the present, he has taught English to students of all ages in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.
