This notable volume includes complete transcriptions and plat drawings made from the original volume located in 1976 at the Coffee County Court House. Potter's book is the only source for these important documents, as the original volume was accidentally not included in microfilming. The decision was there fore made not to abstract but to transcribe the material as recorded in the original, including plats reproduced in exact size. Cross-references for entry numbers of not only Coffee County but also entries issued in Bedford, Franklin and Warren Counties of land that later fell in Coffee County are included. Coupled with a full name index and addition of mid-nineteenth century documents on the early town of Tullahoma, this publication is of more than usual value.
