Concise Encyclopedia of the Essay

In response to requests from librarians at smaller public libraries and high school libraries, Fitzroy Dearborn has launched a series of abridged versions of our most notable encyclopedias: these concise encyclopedias include a careful and generous selection of the material in the larger encyclopedias - that content that in the view of the original editor is the most crucial to an understanding of the subject - and are priced at less than half of the cost of the original edition.
