Patent, Trademark and Copyright Laws: 2010 (Patent Trademark & Copyright Law)

Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Laws includes Title 35 (Patents), Title 17 (Copyrights), and Chapters 22 and 63 of Title 15 (Trademarks and Technology Innovation) of the United States Code. It also contains miscellaneous sections of the United States Code and treaties relating to intellectual property. The 2010 Edition includes recent changes to the nation's intellectual property laws. These changes relate to the Fiscal Year 2010 appropriations for the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Copyright Office, amendments to the copyright law to provide for agreements for the reproduction and performance of sound recordings by webcasters, and a provision authorizing the Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) to use up to $70 million of trademark fees to support patent operations. Depending on developments now in play, legislation that would amend the copyright law to renew the current satellite compulsory licensing provisions and broaden the scope of performance rights for recording artists may also be included.
