50 Posts and a Piece of Toast

When we were little, our father filmed family moments with a motion picture camera (as he called it). I never saw the footage until I was an adult. What a blessing it was to see my parents when they were younger, and all of my siblings in those frames. I actually cried when I saw myself as an infant, because my brother Rodney, although he was just a pre-teen, was holding me like I was the most precious child in the world.He held me like I was his.This image is fitting for Rodney. He is a man who takes ownership—even when other would-be owners step out of the picture. After so many years of being responsible for so many, he decided to reflect over his life and take stock of lessons learned.Just before he turned 50, he shared a series of posts on Facebook. In each post, he shared something he learned and reflected over his life. It was golden. I told him he should put all of it into a book.He did. This is it, folks. Get ready to read the thoughts of a man who loves his family and friends with gusto. He is a man who loves to succeed and see others do the same. Every time I go to him for advice, he listens first.
