Heretics and Orthodoxy

G.K. Chesterton, also commonly referred to as the prince of paradox, was a legendary British writer in the early twentieth century. Chesterton was a very prolific author and his writing is distinguished due to its sharp wit. Chesterton's books cover a wide arrange of topics but his most famous works centered around religious topics and the short stories on the priest-detective Father Brown. Heretics, published in 1905, is a collection of 20 essays in which Chesterton discusses Orthodoxy as well as the ideas of some of his great peers and how they relate to Christianity. Orthodoxy, published in 1908, is one of Chesterton's most influential works. Chesterton wrote the book after receiving criticism for some of his ideas in Heretics. Orthodoxy has become a classic among Christian apologetics. Chesterton presented an original view of Christianity in this book and how he came to be a believer.
