While its size might initially suggest otherwise, the Waco Tribune-Herald is blessed to have an active board of contributors who regularly contribute not only informed insight, information and even wit but also something that often comes close to wisdom. This volume of engaging offerings from 2016 offers not only the very best of the Tribune-Herald Board of Contributors but also a selection of the most impressive guest columns to come our way, some of which we sought out. All of them do us proud, even if we don't always agree with their conclusions. Interspersed are a few useful columns by members of the Trib editorial board, mostly serving as connective tissue in the eventful year that was. Collectively they offer a spirited survey of life and times in the Waco area in 2016.
