Some Thoughts Concerning Education (Chinese Edition)

John Locke (1632-1704) is one of the greatest philosophers in human history. He laid the foundation of Classical Liberalism. Locke is also a great educator. He writes "Some Thoughts Concerning Education", the most important book about philosophy of eudcation. In which, he argues that the purpose of education is to develop children's character so that they become virtuous and wise gentlemen or gentlewomen. He believes that children have to be trained in self-discipline to become reason-guided independent persons, who can freely explore their own paths, pursuit their own dreams, and make their own contributions to human society.
