Description:
There are two issues which confront those who have a heart to share the gospel with the Jehovah's Witnesses: 1) Not knowing what drives their commitment; and 2) Frustration. The end result: both parties arguing by debating scripture. Regardless what is said, the gospel message falls on a hardened heart and deaf ears. In this book, you will learn why the Witnesses are so committed to their beliefs. You will also learn from the personal experiences of an ex-Jehovah's Witnesses how the Witnesses think, why they depend upon the Watchtower, and why leaving the Watchtower organization can be quite a painful emotional and spiritual ordeal. This author does not believe that witnessing to Jehovah's Witnesses is about presenting persuasive arguments. The beginning of a successful witness to Jehovah's Witnesses is a two-fold process: 1) Understanding their allegiance to the Watchtower Society's authority, and 2) dismantling that allegiance with patience and kindness. Once you understand how and why the Witnesses are so committed to the Watchtower Society, your frustration will cease. Jesus taught a principle in sowing the Word of God. Once the seed is planted, the farmer then prepares the ground before the seed is planted, and soon, the seed will reproduce after itself. All farmers know that seeds take time to grow and will exercise patience. Remember: patience is the first description of God's love. The analogy of the sower sows the word that Jesus taught is the perfect illustration. We all want to start "planting" before ground preparation. Therefore, no Jehovah's Witness will be opened to hear the gospel message unless the ground of his heart is first prepared, or we cast seed on rocky soil. Love is the tool we will use to prepare the heart to receive seed, which is the premise of this book. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Love is patient, and love is kind..." We also read that "God is love." The nature of God's character is first expressed by patience, then kindness. Patience speaks of commitment and devotion. Kindness reduces distance between people and establishes a connection. In over 30-years of witnessing to Jehovah’s Witnesses, this has been my strategy in having a successful witness. In this book, you will have a fresh insight into the minds of Jehovah's Witnesses from the personal testimonial of one who left the Watchtower organization. This testimony will give you an understanding why the Witnesses are so committed to the Watchtower Society, and how the power of God's love can set them free to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
