Army Air Forces Statistical Digest: Supplement Number 1: 1945

Army Air Forces Statistical Digest summarizes the great volume of statistical Information collected and published by the various offices in Headquarters, AAF and certain AAF commands. The more important data on the many activities and operations of the AAF are brought together on a uniform basis to serve as an official and basic reference manual for the Army Air Forces, War Department and other interested Government agencies.Several new tables have been added. The new series cover such topics as Negro flying training, foreign flying students trained by the AAF, Negro and Women's Army Corps personnel by command, accessions and separations of civilian personnel (total and with veteran's preference) and graded and ungraded civilian personnel in the Personnel and Training section: deliveries of aircraft engines by plant and model, airplane procurement programs, unit cost of aircraft engines, acceptances of gliders and special purpose aircraftby model, storage space at Air Materiel Command installations, aircraft engines on hand, aircraft engine operating hours between major overhauls, disposition of airplanes excess to military requirements in the section on Aircraft and Equipment: medical air evacuation operations of the Air Transport Command, value and number of contract terminations by type of contract, disposition of surplus property (excluding aircraft),hospital admissions of military personnel and accidents on the ground in the Miscellaneous section.
