The Nighthawkers
Description:
Review\nWow, I'm Blown Away
I must be having the best of luck because I've been reading incredible books lately. Firstly I'm an anthropology major, and I love paranormal stories, so how could I not love this book? Strong female main character?☑️ Interesting and exciting storyline? ☑️ Well written story with properly detailed world building?☑️ Secondly, this book has so many things going for it that I could write my own book about it, so do yourself a favor and grab a copy, you'll be glad you did.
--Review posted on Booksprout\nBernstein's novel is a non-stop action-packed adventure on the scale of Indiana Jones or Lara Croft with the added element of fantasy for extra flair. This page-turner will keep you satisfied to the last word and wanting more! And rumors have it that several more books will follow! This is definitely a five-star read!
--Avis Adams, The Incident\nYou are more!!!
Do you like books that get you out of your comfort zone?
I do... I love to be surprised by a new book, a new author, a new genre!!!
I love archaeology, mystical objects and the history behind them, mystery, mysticism, self-growth/acceptance and, of curse, romance!!!
So, what about a book that have it all? ... this book was it for me!!!
Thank you Amy, for writing such an amazing book and for honor me with an ARC copy, I loved it!!!
--Nat Navarro\nArchaeologist Pauline Marsh is convinced she's an unlovable freak. Who else in the world shares her ability to locate ancient artifacts without a map, hear their stories, and commune with long-dead artisans? But all that changes when handsome, charismatic Grey Henley persuades her she's the girl of his dreams. For Pauline, Grey is the family she never knew. And for Grey, Pauline's treasure-finding skills will make him immensely rich. But the lovers are keeping secrets from one another that push their relationship to the breaking point. Grey is in league with a criminal relative and Pauline is visited by an other-worldly stranger with a message. Sometimes, it takes a broken heart to discover your true destiny--and find eternal love where you least expect it.\nFrom the Author\nResearching and writing "The Nighthawkers" was a true labor of love! I took great pleasure in setting up a love story that soared quickly before, well, you'll see. No spoilers here. All I'll say is that sometimes, people don't show you who they really are. Or, not right away.
Creating the shimmery alternate world that the heroine, Pauline Marsh, finds herself journeying to (unexpectedly), gave me excuses to defy the laws of gravity, the color spectrum, and the laws of physics in general.\nAnd all the ancient artifacts described in the book took a lot of digging (pun intended) through archaeology journals. I got so lost studying photos and reading about ancient treasures--swords, coins, sculptures, and so much more.\nAbove all, this is a story about feeling lost and discovering that you cannot find your true love until you truly understand yourself.\nFrom the Back Cover\nArchaeologist Pauline Marsh is convinced she's an unlovable freak.
