Deadly Payback

Payback, revenge, call it what you will. It’s on everyone’s agenda. When they put their heads together Carolyn and Julie make a perfect plan to knock of their disagreeable spouses. Perfect that is until Tucson Detectives Hoffman and Jenkins, with some crucial help from Sara Hoffman, get a hold of and begin to unravel the intertwined clues. But it’s not so easy to pin these two gals down. When their husband’s died they were both out of town and what’s more they can prove they weren’t around for the deaths. Not only that, but Darwin’s death initially appears to be one of natural causes. Then Betsy Carpenter arrives with a plan of her own. She’d like to even the score with a high school enemy who made her life “a living hell for four long years.” Betsy is sure she is smarter than the cops too. If anyone is going to get away with murder, then maybe she’ll have to be the one to tackle the real source of the problem…that too smart cop! If he won’t happily go down the false trail she so conveniently supplies him, then maybe he’ll have to die, too.
