Family Forever: Young Lovers

The year is 1958, and Jani and Emma are teenage twins living in a peaceful California suburb. Beloved by their parents, they seem to be living the all-American life.

The sisters, however, have suspect taste in men, and their lovesick teenage decisions will not only affect the rest of their lives—they will shape their California family for years to come.

Emma is drawn to the hard-partying Brad, who just so happens to already have a fiancée. Despite condemning his cheating ways, Emma still finds herself attracted to the handsome charmer. Meanwhile Jani falls for Nate, an ambitionless horse groomer, despite her family’s objections. Jani knows they'll be even angrier when they hear her secret: she’s pregnant with Nate’s child.

Jani turns to Emma, her sister and best friend, for help. As the two young women enter into precarious marriages based on white lies and teenage crushes, life’s tough realities sink in. Years roll by as babies are born, husbands continue with their carefree ways, and both Jani and Emma find out that in the end, blood is thicker than any marriage vow.
