Set in the mid-2000's in the sand-blown beach town of Daytona, Florida, "Everyone Comes Here To Die" follows three twenty-something ne'erdowells over a year of their lives. The terminally disaffected Jeff, George, and Ray are sure they want to do something with themselves one day, but they just don't know what it is yet. Until they do, they settle for wandering around their neighborhood in the middle of the night, destroying property, quitting jobs, ruining relationships, and generally disappointing their parents. When a mutual acquaintance goes missing, during the investigation they begin to discover what might be at the root of their voluntary stagnation. The town of Daytona, more character than backdrop, plays a major part in this tale. Its desolate backstreets and poor economic state are in stark contrast to most peoples' idea of sunny beaches filled with beautiful models and friendly retirees. "Everyone Comes Here To Die" is a look behind that curtain, at a place where people are born to quit and fester forever in a sub-tropical, suburban wasteland.
