Ask A Master Gardener: Common Lawn and Garden Questions
Description:
The Tulsa Master Gardeners are part of Oklahoma State University's local Extension service in Tulsa and have been writing a weekly gardening column in the Tulsa World newspaper for 8 years. This book includes all of these 400 plus columns in chronological order. They are concise, science based and of practical help to any gardener. They cover a host of topics about plant selection, plant diseases, good and bad insects as well as a lot of useful "how to" information. There are ample references to appropriate horticultural fact sheets, mostly from Oklahoma State, concerning the many gardening topics addressed. All the articles have been edited to reflect current horticultural information. There also is an extensive table of contents and index to help in navigating the book in search of specific topics and recommendations. Publication of the copywritten material is generously allowed by the Tulsa World newspaper. All royalties from this book go to the Tulsa Master Garden Foundation, a non-profit organization, which supports the many volunteer activities the Master Gardeners provide for their local area.
