Seeking True Christianity: Practical Advice for Zealous Christians

Dan Robinson’s Seeking True Christianity is a sincere but controversial book that’s guaranteed to offend almost everybody. It challenges the Christian status quo of our time, much like Martin Luther’s Ninety-Five Theses did in his. Seeking True Christianity is unique because it describes the experiences of someone who has spent nearly 30 years on the audience’s side of numerous pulpits. It is also unique because Robinson has dug much deeper than most Christians in order to uncover true Christianity, and has been enabled by God to live a life that has been far more daring than any that he would have chosen for himself. The book is Robinson’s account of his search for true Christianity, and the lessons that he has learned along the way. He describes his experiences (both good and bad) like a reporter, and yet he addresses the reader as he would in a personal letter. The book’s purpose is to provide practical advice to Christians who are either zealous for the truth, or would like to be. The most controversial sections of the book are undoubtedly Robinson’s sample Bible studies concerning: Calvinism; Mary, the Mother of Jesus; War; Government; Christian Zionism; Believer’s Water Baptism; Homosexuality; and The End of the Age. What the reader will take away from reading this book is the motivation to leave behind much of today’s popular conception of Christianity, and return to the way of life prescribed in the New Testament.
