My home town, Traverse City, Michigan, is known as the "Cherry Capital of the World." So who is sneaking into our orchards at night and sawing down trees? And why? In an investigative article funded by Kickstarter, writer and author Mardi Link takes an in-depth look at cherry farming in northern Michigan and uncovers new evidence in the agricultural destruction that has mystified the police, the farmers, and residents of this idllyic small town. Mardi Link is a writer living in northern Michigan. She is also the author of, When Evil Came to Good Hart, and Isadore’s Secret, both published by the University of Michigan Press. Isadore’s Secret won a Michigan Notable Book Award and was named a, “Great Lakes’ Great Read,” by the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association.
