A telephone call to Senator J. William Fulbright's Washington D. C. Office arranged a change of assignment for new Warrant Officer Pilot Thomas Butler to Medical Evacuation School at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He could not have known how this "factor" would affect the future decisions he would make in combat.
