What a clever writer Michel Robotham is. A book that starts in Baghdad, has chapters set in London, and completely different people in both cities, grabs your attention at once. From the first chapter you start to wonder how this mix of places and people will get together. So great is Michael Robotham`s skill, that the story progresses easily. I feel a great deal of research has gone into this book. His descriptions of life in Baghdad, the cruelty, the danger, the lack of trust, the blackmail, the corruption, the destruction. He brings so vividly to life, the horror of living in that city. He describes the horrors far more successfully than a lot of the worlds` official journalists. (Amazon customer)
