With few exceptions, and these mostly of recent date, all persons in this country bearing the name of alden are his descendents. Of each of these who. Is at the head of a family, it is the plan of this work to give, as far as the facts are at hand, the name, residence, occupation of males over twenty-one years of age, date of birth, and, if deceased, of death, parentage and social position.
