Hands First Fine Motor Curriculum

Hands First is unique among fine motor programs as it empowers therapists, caregivers and teachers to help children gain in fine motor ability. Through fun and engaging lesson plans, Hands First Fine Motor Curriculum addresses a child's fine motor foundation (gross motor skills) and fine motor skills. Designed by developmental specialists, Hands First Fine Motor Curriculum is written in an easy to use format. It contains the following to help promote fine motor skills in young children: A simple to administer pre and post checklist tool, a classroom assessment chart to easily view student performance, and program goals and objectives, based on core content standards. Lesson plans are of two types: fine motor foundation (gross motor) and fine motor activities. Kids love these activities! Therapists find that the Hands First! curriculum offers teachers the necessary tools to address kindergarten students' foundation and fine motor skills in order to prepare them for future handwriting, dressing, and fine motor academic tasks. It can be used as a RTI or Response to Intervention program. Contains four months of lesson plans.
