Green Grapes on Silver Platters

Linea is a young woman who has squelched her desire to be a chef as a result of parental discouragement. Although her great-grandmother who claimed to have psychic abilities declared being a chef was Linea’s destiny, her parent’s words were loud and clear that this was not a good idea. Ever the dutiful daughter, she worked to suppress and overcome the desire. Selecting a path in alignment with her parents’ wishes, she studied business administration and upon graduation accepted a position at an insurance company. Her parents still grieve that she has not married at the ripe old age of 23, and conspire with the parents of a suitable male, to marry her off. While it may appear their plan worked, we know we cannot make assumptions based on appearances. Green Grapes are sour.
