Culturism: Why African-Americans Must Stop Blaming Racism for Their Problems and Start Taking Full Responsibility

In recent years, highly publicized controversies (such as the deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown) have brought racial tensions to the forefront in America. As a result of these events, accusations of racism are being hurled at white people (and other non-blacks) like socially divisive weapons of mass destruction on a frequently recurring basis. However, the resentments blacks have towards whites are not new; they've existed for decades. Thanks to social media and the 24-hour news cycle, the feelings of acrimony blacks have towards whites are now on full display. Yet, despite the racial turmoil that currently plagues the U.S., the majority of white Americans are not racist; they do not harbor any hatred or feelings of superiority towards black Americans based strictly on skin color. Furthermore, the majority of blacks are not (and never will be) the victims of systemic (or overt) racism.
