However, the terrorist’s archenemies, Laura Delaney and Steve Wallace, believe they are the true parents of the half-brothers. They encourage the young men to break away from their father’s control. At the same time, Steve and Laura attempt to capture or kill Jeremiah before he can implement his horrific plan. This novel is the conclusion to the Jeremiah trilogy, which examines the possibility that a charismatic demagogue could combine elements of fascism and theocracy to form a movement that threatens democracy within the United States and around the world.
