Edgar Hernandez POW: An American Hero

Held captive for 21 days in numerous secret Saddam Hussein prisons at the onset of the Liberation of Iraq in March 2003, Army Specialist, Edgar Hernandez and six other brave soldiers feared for their lives as they faced brutal treatment and near-death situations right up until their dramatic rescue. When his convoy came under attack from heavy enemy fire, Hernandez was shot and hit by grenade shrapnel in the face.
