Aegean prehistory as a discipline has been around for a while now although concern over its growing marginalisation from other disciplines and a tendency to move away from its core interests and aims, have led to some pessimism over its future direction. In 2003 a workshop held at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology at the University of Michigan aimed to provide a forum for discussing the current state, status and future for Aegean prehistory.
