The Consciousness of Earth

A blank verse epic about the ecological crisis, its spiritual implications, and the search for an adequate response. A synthesis of many findings from the natural and social sciences in the light of the Western poetic tradition. After contemplating the origins of the universe, the evolution of life, and the history of humankind's interaction with the environment, the poem surveys psychology, parapsychology and spiritual traditions in the light of this crisis and ends by proposing a spiritual discipline and a plan of organization and action. In the words of its first reviewer, Hadassah Haskale: "A white whale of a book."
