A String of Pearls

Historical fiction. "A String of Pearls" takes the reader from the Steppes of Russia, to the Navy Yard at Brooklyn and the great city of New York, to London, and to Hawaii. The story of desperate battles are related from new perspectives and an eyewitness's point of view, from the bridge of the HMS Hood in its deadly duel with the Bismarck, from the gunsights of a Spitfire as it struggles over the beaches of Dunkirk, to the controls of a Navy bomber as it arrives over Oahu in the midst of the Japanese raid. History's great leaders during World War II are seen through a revisionist's lens, as a desperate Winston Churchill and a politically handcuffed Franklin Roosevelt struggle with Hitler's fury during the Blitz. And then there is Russia's desperation as German Panzers reach the gates of Moscow.
