My precious butterfly: Letters of encouragement to my wounded inner child

The well-known phrase, "better to be safe, than sorry," has keptmany a person from experiencing the true joy in life of living freelyand dancing in the air. However, it is only when a child decides tostop crawling on the ground, that the view of life changes from thatof a caterpillar into one of a butterfly.I thank God everyday that I chose to go through my own metamorphosis.In spite of suffering from feelings of inadequacy, lowself-esteem, and lacking confidence in my abilities, God has givenme the gift of expressing my innermost feelings in my writing. Iam convinced it is the vehicle He wants me to utilize to drive awayfrom sorrow, and take a long-needed, spiritual journey with Himas my constant companion.I have learned valuable insights while using my creativity. Andnow, I believe I can reach out to others who are hurting to lovinglyhelp them learn to love themselves. I hope that the imaginativeletters contained within this little book, will help to accomplish thatobjective. They were written as a direct result of my determinedstruggle to effectively deal with the emotional trauma I needed toovercome in order to be at peace with myself.I pray that those who canclearly see similar thoughtsand feelings within theirown lives, will be as blessedby God's love and healingpower as I have been.
