Don Share's debut collection, Union, is comprised of unsympathetic portraits from his life. Unflinchingly severe and brutally honest, these poems consider the experience of divorce, among a host of other subjects. For all of its darkness, however, Union refuses to be bleak. Share is the curator of the George Edward Woodberry Poetry Room at Harvard University and is the poetry editor at the Partisan Review.
