Forty percent of the book's proceeds go to the Northwest Regional Office of Santa Claus and Dream Team Northwest, Seattle-area nonprofit organizations whose volunteers write personal replies to "Dear Santa" letters and donate gift certificates for food, new clothing, and toys for low-income families and terminally-ill children.
