The Lanark Era, Births, Marriages and Deaths - Vol Two, is filled with the names and stories of thousands of Lanark County settlers and their descendants. The legacy of The Lanark Era, like many other Ontario newspapers, is the treasure trove of information provided by the birth, marriage and death announcements of it's community members and of those who had connections to Lanark County regardless of where they migrated to. Compiler, Peter E. Anderson also included transcriptions of the announcements of those who returned from the First World War... and many who did not.This publication is a compilation of transcriptions of announcements copied from original newspapers and copies of surviving issues of The Lanark Era that were published from 1912 to 1936. There are exceptions due to the publisher's loss of some issues, the most notable being the majority of 1916, all of 1920 to 1929, much of the first three months of 1933 and the last half of 1936. Those "lost issues" were later found in private hands and now appear in Volume Three of this series.
