A Book for Coloring and Learning About Diabetes

The current issue of this coloring book, as with other editions of the coloring book, it follows the same chapters as in the larger book, "Understanding Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus" © (both by H. Peter Chase, MD). However, instead of 10 pages dealing with each subject (chapter), there are generally one or two summary type pages in the coloring book. Many of the important diagrams from the larger book are also included in the smaller book. Most important, there are many nice pictures to color! A change in the current edition of the coloring book is that the information provided is a bit more complete than with the previous editions. We frequently heard that the smaller book was being used as a complete teaching guide - particularly until a family had adjusted to the shock of newly diagnosed diabetes and was ready to read a 250 page book. This edition of the coloring book has been enlarged to provide all of the initial educational material that a family would need. (It even has the short form of the School Plan in Chapter 22 that is now required by most schools).
