Composite basics

The original manuscript of this book was compiled from a series of articles which appeared in the magazine, HOMEBUILT AIRCRAFT, between 1983 and 1985. The first edition was then edited and published in 1985, the second in 1989, the third in 1993, and the fourth in 1994. This fifth edition was prepared in early 1998. The organization of the subject material is nearly the same as in the previous editions, with even more attention paid to assisting the reader in being able to find easily a specific item of interest. 12 chapters on materials, cores, carving and forming core materials, resin matrix, molding methods and tooling, wet resin and honeycomb cores, designing composite structures, calculating stresses and loads, adhesives and bonding, and load testing your structure.
