Rosa Parks

The purpose of our publication is to introduce pre-readers and early readers to African American contributions to American History. In most case, these people and events have made major contributions and have gone relatively unknown. These historical events are presented in a colorful picturesque storybook fashion to capture the attention and to spark the imagination of children. Rosa Parks was a hard-working young woman who wanted to sit at the bus after a long day at work. Her protest, sitting in the "white section" of the bus became part of the "civil rights movement."
