FOR THE RECORD: REPORT WRITING FOR THE FIRE SERVICE (3rd Edition) is a comprehensive text and workbook designed for basic, remedial, and advanced training in writing professional incident and fire investigation reports. In print for more than 30 years, this exciting new edition contains all of the same valuable instructional material as the previous edition but also includes fresh content specifically relevant to fire service reports and developed in collaboration with co-author, Laz Lahera. Lahera is a 30-year fire service veteran with a large department, a retired company officer, and a current fire service instructor at Miramar College in Southern California in the Fire Protection Technology Program. Highlights of the 3rd Edition The text is now divided into two sections. The first section contains all of the major concepts and applications found in the previous (2nd) edition of this text and focuses on the fundamentals of report writing - skills applicable to any type of report writing. The second section is all new content and turns more specifically to report writing in the fire service. Section Two offers students and fire service practitioners more exposure to and exercises in the types of writing they will perform during the course of their regular duties.
