Most boaters know that they are required by law to carry a copy of this publication on board at all times. What many boaters do not know is that they must have a current edition on board. Out-of-date versions will not meet the requirement of a Coast Guard inspection and could result in a fine. This format makes Paradise Cay’s Rules about half the size of the government edition and eliminates the redundancy found in the Government edition. The topic of each subsection has been noted for quick reference along with the page numbers for Inland and International Rules.
