Jacob Landau, the graphic work: Catalogue raisonné
Description:
Jacob Landau, born in 1917 in Philadelphia, developed his artistic talents deeply affected by the strains and horrors of the Great Depression and the Holocaust. Known as much for his love of teaching and community service as for his artistry, Landau was admired for his uncanny ability to strike a balance of art and commerce through his stunning wood cuts, etchings and lithography. The New Jersey State Museum in Trenton compiled this impressive catalog, published in 1982. It contains more than 200 photographs of the artist's graphic work arranged in chronological order.
