Northern Indiana Railway
Description:
The Chicago, South Bend and Northern Indiana Railway Company, or Northern Indiana Railway, was one of several electric interurban railways that once served South Bend and other communities. Chartered January 18, 1885, the South Bend Railway Company operated under several names until June 15, 1940 when the remaining five lines ceased operation.
