From Preface: "It is with great pleasure that we present here, for the first time, a comprehensive exhibition of Abstract Expressionist prints and drawings by Sylvia Wald, an artist whose stature among American printmakers of the 1950s and 1960s is finally being recognized. For viewers unfamiliar with Wald's prints of that era, there will be many revelations. Primary among them will be a new understanding of the creative possibilities of color screenprinting; conceived by a painter, these are prints with a physical presence and monumental effect more characteristic of larger works on canvas.
