The Story of Reb Elchonon : The Life of Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman

Reb Elchonon was one of the outstanding Jewish leaders and teachers of this century. Some thought of him as the outstanding disciple of Chofetz Chaim, others as the Talmudic teacher supreme, others as the living embodiment of dedication to Hashem and Israel. He was all of these and more. This book is adapted from "Reb Elchonon," the full-length adult biography published as part of the ArtScroll Series. That book, in turn, was taken from the original Hebrew version, "Ohr Elchonon," by Rabbi Aharon Sorasky. The driving force behind the publication of the original work was Reb Elchonon's only surviving son, Hagaon Harav Simcha Wasserman who heads Yeshivah Ohr Elchonon in Jerusalem. For this young readers version, a debt of gratitude is again owed Reb Simcha, who gave his consent to the project and carefully reviewed the entire manuscript, offering a number of valuable suggestions.
