Richard is from Los Angeles and Wendy from Seattle. Today, they live in the Bay area with their two daughters Mikka and Maggie, and their dog Genki. Illustrator and designer, Karen OkasakiSasaki was born and raised in California and educated at UC Davis and at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. She has illustrated several cookbooks and numerous children's poems and stories.
